Are you pumped, too?
Today is Monday, 1 October 2018. It’s a Monday. It’s the first day of the week, of the month, and of the fourth quarter of 2018.
We’re in the home stretch.
I woke up in a shitty mood. I didn’t sleep well (despite having slept better than the night before, which I slept in the back of my SUV next to a 6-year old who kicked and punched her way through bad dreams on a cold mountain ridge).
It finally rained at the house. I had the windows down at least three inches to air out the interior from all the campfire smoke, dirt, and bugs. My 20-year old, leather steering wheel turned to grease in my hands and I had to use my Swiss Army knife to cut it off.
I have a to-do list a mile long—none of which can be addressed while I’m at the day job.
I’m getting really tired of a life that increasingly feels dedicated to little more than paying bills.
But you know what? It’s a new day. It’s a new week, a new month, and a new quarter.
Every single day is another chance to start over—even if only in spirit.
So I’m freaking pumped.
Let’s do this.
