Consistently good.
What if I told you one of the most helpful people in the North American Montero/Pajero community for the last decade doesn’t know as much as you think he does?
What if he was just so consistently good at helping others find what they need you just assumed he knew everything and didn’t realize it?
This is the story—the JDM Journeys, if you will—of Phil Hansford.

In only a few short years, Spring will return to the small, Alberta, Canada, town where this guys lives and he’ll start driving his one-of-only-2,500-in-the-world Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution more often.
In the meantime, he’s started driving his most recent JDM daily driver—his SEVENTH JDM import, if I remember right—a SWB, third gen Pajero with a 3.2L direct injected turbo diesel (4M41) and 5-speed manual gearbox.
That’s right. His SEVENTH JDM import. There’s a good chance Phil’s imported more RHD vehicles than many of the importers who’ve posted old Delicas and Pajeros on your local Craigslist in the last year.
This is the guy who drove his Pajero Evolution from Canada to LA for MOD last year.
He takes extra special care of his vehicles. The “PajEvo” gets even better care because there’s a chance it might prove an actual investment—but that doesn’t stop Phil from driving it.
Why does he do it? How does he do it? What’s the big idea?
In this scheduled-the-night-before episode, Phil shares his JDM journey with us and answers all of the above. And it’s proof that you don’t need to know everything to get started making a name for yourself.
Check it out! (And make sure you follow Phil’s JDM Journeys directly, too! Neat stuff!)
