If only it were that simple.

Want to lose weight? It’s simple. Burn more calories than you consume.

That’s it. That is every weight-loss diet ever invented.

Want to be rich? It’s simple. Spend less money than you make.

That’s all there is to it.

Want to be more productive? It’s simple. Get off your ass and DO something.

It really is that simple.

But it’s not that simple, is it?

It’s hard to radically change our behavior after what might be years of doing things another way.

I’ve recently come to an important realization. We can either make little sacrifices on a daily basis now—or we can deal with big ones later.

Which is to say, if we know something is simple—but we’re not seeing the results we want—we need to be taking a closer look at ourselves to figure out why we’re struggling with something so simple.
