I might fancy myself a writer. I might consider myself part of the Creative Class, but this pales in comparison to the theatre. To read a story with such empathy you take on the character and let him flow through you is another level altogether.
There’s something innately wonderful about theatre. It’s childlike imagination cast, clothed, and directed to become a living, breathing story. It’s a manufactured experience which, done right, doesn’t feel manufactured at all—it’s real.
I applaud your pursuit of the dream. Though you make a living doing what you love, there is little resembling job security. And yet, you pour yourselves into the work. I know it’s not easy.
