You know it’s worth practicing.

But you think about what simple little thing you could try actually waiting a week for and you can’t think of anything—and that’s when you know you need to do it.

Next time you reach for your phone, maybe tell yourself to wait a minute.

Try being in that minute. What else is going on? Is it bright or dark? Warm or cold? How many other people are waiting with you? Could you make eye contact with one of them? Could you smile?

Is someone talking? Should you be listening?

This feels important.
