Or are you committed?
Probably one of the best podcast episodes I’ve heard. Ever.
Dov Barrington talks about brain exercises—inner-cises—with John Assaraf to talk about how to get our brains with the program, to get them working for us instead of against us.
You should listen to the entire conversation*, but the big idea here today is the difference between being interested and being committed.
If you’re interested, you’ll do the casual stuff. The easy parts that don’t get in the way, make you uncomfortable, or force you to change your life. But if you’re committed, you’ll basically adopt a funk-anything-and-anyone-that-gets-in-my-way mindset.
I don’t know about you, but I could certainly afford to have the mental pendulum swing a bit further in that direction more often.
*Episode: The New Science to Unlock Your Brain’s Hidden Power. More than a few F-bombs in this one, but it’s a solid conversation. Also, actual audio is a bit low, so you’ll need to turn it up after the intro.
